Done with Turkey back to the Fair!

Was done with our Thanksgiving dinner early since it is just my husband and I ...Started watching football and had the tilt-a-Whirl on my mind since last night since I finally got around to printing my pics from the fair.  So I decided to build a Tilt-a Whirl since could not find a decent looking piece of clip art went to work...used one of my own pictures that I had taken and started from the ride up.  I think it turned out pretty good, right up there with my bumper car.  The SVG for the Tilt-a Whirl is here.I hope you have a much fun with it as I did I did do a little ink enhancing with it since it had a lot of detail that would have caused some really small snivels, and I do not do snivels if I can help it. Did a little chalking too along the upper part of the hood, and the leather head part.  Have fun...Cindy

Turkey Card

Okay I have been bitten by the make a turkey card bug, saw the Gobble till you Wobble on the web, was not liking cutting it out from a cartridge since I do not own that many I am kinda a DIY person so...I made one myself.  He is so cute, made the feathers from a leaf I found made it three different sizes and then made a shadow to mount the whole bird on  drew in the legs.  The legs will be on the svg but decided it would be a booger to glue them on so they got tossed .  The paper for the one set of leaves I have gotten emails about so the name of the paper was a Heidi Grace harvest card stock flower.  Tried to find it on line to give you a link but it appears to be not there, had purchased mine at AC Moore. I just cut them the parts out tonight and put them together in about an hour.  The back round I used was an idea Tricia Morris had done on Club scrap where she stamped a bunch of stamps in back round and then colored it here and there with inks.  Have fun making these guys they were a blast.....Happy Thanksgiving it is around the corner got to get these in mail tomorrow....get your svg for the turkey here.

Fair Time!!

Went to the fair here in Jacksonville, Friday night, went to ride the rides and eat junk food that is the best every with the cool fall air and the noise of the rides.  Hit the gate and headed straight to the 4-H trailer that sells Pig on a Stick.  My husband loves those so he had one and then I found a corn dog for some reason was craving one of those first.  Walk a little rode the Scrambler and then the Tilt a Whirl.  Love that thing the faster is spins the more I love it....We were waiting for our daughter and her husband to get there they were coming with a couple that is friends of theirs.  They finally arrived after we had ate out first order of ribbon fries.  We walked with them and they also got the Pig on a Stick and her husband got a foot-long corn dog.  We walked a little more road the scrambler again and the tilt a whirl again, got on the Gravitron with my  son-in-law and then we all rode the bumper cars which brings us to our file...Made this really cute bumper car svg available from here.  Just cut one out for a test just a few ago and it worked perfectly.  This car came from a sign that was connected to the ride I have been looking for a bumper car for a while but just could not fine one that would work as an svg.  I just love it can't wait to start scrapping a fair jaunt.

I Love Drawers!

I found this cute 6 drawer cabinet at the thrift store yesterday, I have started working on it, first I sanded it around the outside had to remove some pictures, and give the paint that was already there a little bit of tooth.  The pictures that were on there were partially peeling so made short work of that. After wiping the sawdust residue away I put a coat of black acrylic paint on it all over including the inside of the drawers and let it dry.  I am using Graphics 45 paper Curtain Call Collection.  My daughter and her husband bought a new house and are planning on a video room, so this should fit in nicely a little nostalgia movie wise.  I cut the paper down to fit each drawer leaving it slightly smaller than the drawer face itself.  I like a little of the face to show n either side to frame out the paper and also keep it from pulling way from the face with use.  I have not decided what to do for drawer pulls since some of the 6 knobs were missing when I bought it.   I have been thinking about very small eye bolts, but will have to see what happens once the paper it on it, may look for old shack buttons that are brass to set in for a knob.  Will see what I can find.  Had some thin Carousel poles from when I had a ceramics shop so since they were laying in the garage and going to waste they worked out to be perfect!! Love these little drawers

Something New!

Been a while since I was last here, finished my Christmas cards already this week. They are so cool, I love them I ended up combining 2 different elements. I saw a wiper card and had already seen a really cute Elf Shoe Card, the shoe card was done by Patty Lee. Have seen it other places but believe this is the one that got me inspired. The wiper card was done by several people also, Janine Tinklenberg made hers. I decided I loved both of the cards and came up with a blended version I hope all of you will enjoy. I drew out the shoes and made a svg of them also the detailing of the shoes. The cute peppermint candy I found on line and scrap-lifted it and created a printout in the size I wanted and punched it out with my 1/4" hole punch from Creative Memories. The legs were made from a cute company I found out at the convention in Jacksonville in September. I was from Canvas Corp. the print was Kraft & Ribbon Stripe CCP2370. The cards themselves I had two pads of Designer Paper from K&Company one was Designer Glad Tidings and the other is the same name, but the speciality paper version. I took the 12 x 12 double sided paper cut it 4 1/2 inches wide and 9 1/4 long. You need 2 pieces of so I measured the 12 x 12 cut it down to 9"x 9 1/4" I cut that in half vertically to create the sides of the cards. Get your svg here for the shoes, shoe detailing and legs, the santa chimney I made myself also saw a cute idea and drew it out also have it as an svg.  Trying to figure out how to get the svgs out here also have them in scut files.  Also will add a page with the measurement on it .
I was finally able to get the files out here, there are 2 scut files as well as a pdf for the instructions, I am a little rusty on that part but should be able to follow. Elf Shoe Instruction, Elf Shoes scut fileSanta chimney and feet, the SVG for the elf shoes and chimney is here
